An absolute gem to stay in! What a fantastic place to spent time in, whilst in Rutherglen! This bed and breakfast is a perfect example of what a bed and breakfast place should really be like! Anthony and Sharon are amazing hosts, who always have a smile on their face, and are ever helpful. Their service is proof that old style traditional hospitality is still alive!With continental breakfast included, they provide tasty granola, with various fruits, yoghurt, milk, tea, and coffee.Accommodation rooms reminds one of historical buildings, with high ceilings, fireplace, spacious rooms, and big bathrooms.This is a REAL bed and breakfast place!

Carlyle House was a fantastic place to stay, with wonderful and friendly hosts, beautiful comfortable rooms and a breakfast that is just amazing.
Awesome venue, great friendly people and an amazing breakfast. Would highly recommend to stay. 10 out of 10, been to alot of places this is the bomb.
A wonderful place to stay. The rooms are lovely with very comfortable beds. The complimentary decanter of Muscat was a very nice touch. Sharon and Anthony are perfect hosts, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The breakfast was amazing. Not only are you offered a 'continental' breakfast (cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt etc) the menu for the cooked breakfast was a delight with a variety of dishes to choose from.(I highly recommend the smashed avocado on sourdough) The house is a stone's throw from the centre of Rutherglen and a great base for visiting the wineries. We will be back !
