Renowned for their pies, Parker Pies offer variety and quality. Disappointed in quality of cakes, coffee and iced coffee. They dont use cream so iced drinks dont come with the guilty pleasure of lashings of cream... and no cream cakes$7 for a lump of ice cream in milk with coffee is disappointing. Minimal air conditioning and lots of flies inside. Staff were friendly
Parker pies really impressed me once again on my second visit here. They have a good range of gourmet pastry options that are hard to find anywhere else. Whilst it is their mouth watering pastries such as the Jolly Jumbuck (lamb w mint+rosemary) or the Beef Bourguignon that attracts most people here, don't pass up on their pies especially the namesake Parker Pie. I like it when a simple item such as a basic meat pie is transformed to be so delicious that it catches you by surprise. This simple meat pie is cooked very well with a flaky top crust and rigid but light sides, and succulent lean beef mince inside.It was well worth a detour to visit!
Tried the chicken tomato and bacon pie, so amazing. Juicy, tasty and a little sweetness from the vegetables. Perfect.
Amazingly tasty pies! It is definitely worth stopping by when you are in the area. Fair warning though, they are expensive pies. Coffee was decent and the staff were friendly.
Was recommended by friends to try this place on the way from Melbourne to Sydney. A small detour of about 15 minutes and you reach the town of Rutherglen. Beautiful setting and a great selection of pies. We tried most of their gourmet pies and each one of them were mind blowing. Definitely recommend this place
